Privacy
What this site collects, and what it does not.
weekendtrips.com.au is an editorial website. Pages can be read without an account. The contact form sends the details you enter to the site maintainers through a third-party submission service. This page explains that in ordinary language.

This privacy page is for weekendtrips.com.au. It describes a small editorial site: city hubs, a planning guide, and a contact form. It is general information, not legal advice, and it does not try to cover every server log on the open internet.
Public pages
You can read the site without creating an account, without signing in, and without submitting a form. The pages are meant to be indexed. Titles, descriptions and ordinary usage data that any public website’s host may record can exist at the infrastructure level. This site does not ask you to open a member profile in order to see a region.
If your browser sends a referrer or a language preference, that is normal web behaviour. Do not send the site anything through the form that you would not want stored with a message.
The contact form
The contact page uses a form that posts through FormSubmit to the site’s contact email. That is a third-party submission service. When you submit, you send:
- your name
- your email address
- an optional capital city
- the body of the message
- any hidden anti-spam field the form includes
The purpose is to answer editorial notes and questions about the site. The form is not a booking desk. Do not enter card numbers, passport images, or extra identity documents.
The submission service’s own notices apply to the transmission. If you prefer not to use a third-party form, you can choose not to write in.
What we do with a message
A message is read to understand the note you sent. It may be stored long enough to reply and to keep a record of a correction. It is not used to build a public list of correspondents. It is not a newsletter signup; there is no newsletter field on the form.
If you ask for a message to be deleted, use the same form and identify the email address you sent from. We will not ask you to paste passwords or extra documents to prove a point that the original email already shows.
Analytics, cookies and advertising
The public content does not depend on you accepting a marketing cookie wall. Hosting and delivery networks may set technical cookies or similar storage that are required to serve the site. This page will not invent a list of advertising partners the site does not operate.
The hubs do not sell operator placements. If that ever changed, this page would need to change first; until then, treat the public copy as editorial.
External links
Hubs and the planning guide link to official tourism, parks and weather sites. Those sites have their own privacy notices. Following a link is a new context. This page cannot speak for them.
Children
The site is written for adults planning travel. It does not knowingly collect information from children through the form. If you believe a message from a child has been sent, use the contact form so it can be removed from the mailbox.
Changes
If the way messages are handled changes in a material way, this page should be updated. The wording you are reading is the current description of a public editorial site with a single contact form.
For a privacy note, use contact and say so at the start of the message. For the trip itself, you still need the official pages named on each hub; those are not privacy documents, and they are not replaced by this one.
Questions
Direct answers
Do I need an account to use the site?
No. The hubs, planning guide and utility pages are public documents. There is no membership.
What does the contact form send?
The name, email, optional capital and message you enter, plus standard technical context the submission service needs to deliver it. Do not include payment details or extra personal documents.
Do you sell lists of visitors?
No. This site is not a marketplace and it does not operate an advertising network of its own.
How do I send a privacy question?
Use the contact form and say that the message is about privacy. Do not attach identity documents unless a lawful process specifically requires them.
Next step
Shape the two days before you leave.
A weekend away holds together when you pick one region, confirm park and weather notices, and leave Sunday with room to get home.
